O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, do not allow vanity, self-love, sensuality, carelessness and anger to gain dominion over me und to snatch me away from Thy love. O my Lord, my Creator, Who art my whole hope: leave me not bereft of a place in blessed eternity.  Grant that I also may follow Thy holy example and may submit to the authorities set over me. Bestow upon me that purity of heart, that simplicity of soul, which make us worthy of Thy love.  Unto Thee, O my God, do I offer my soul and my heart.  Let not Thy creature perish, but deliver me from sin: the single greatest evil.  Grant, O Lord, that I may endure disquietude and tribulation of soul with the same joy that I accept heartfelt pleasures.  If thou desirest, O Lord, Thou canst cleanse and sanctify me.  Lo! I commit myself to Thy goodness, asking that Thou uproot from within me all that is opposed to Thee, and that Thou unite me to the company of Thine elect.

O Lord, take from me that idleness of spirit which causeth time to hang heavy on my hands; that vanity of thoughts which hindereth Thy presence and distracteth mine attention during prayer.  And if, while praying, I turn away from Thee in my thoughts, help me to resist such diversion, so that, turning my mind back, I may not avert my heart from Thee.

I confess to Thee, my Lord and God, all the sins of mine iniquity, which I have committed before Thee now and before.  Absolve me of these for the sake of Thy holy name, and save my soul, which Thou hast redeemed by Thy precious Blood.

I commend myself to Thy loving-kindness; I commit myself to Thy will.  Deal with me according to Thy goodness, and not according to my wickedness and iniquity.  Teach me, O Lord, to dispose my deeds so that they may redound to the glory of Thy holy name.

Have pity, O Lord, on all Christians; hearken, O Lord, unto all who cry out to Thee; deliver from all evil and save Thy servants NN., and send upon them joy, consolation amid sorrows, and Thy great mercy.  O Lord, I entreat Thee especially in behalf of those who have offended and grieved me in some way, or have caused me some harm.  Do not punish them because of me, a sinner, but pour forth Thy goodness upon them.  O Lord, I beseech Thee in behalf of all those whom I, a sinner, have grieved, offended or have caused temptation, in word, deed or thought, in knowledge or in ignorance.  O Lord our God, forgive our sins and offenses against one another; dispel from our hearts all dislike, suspicion, wrath, remembrance of evils, and argument, and everything that can stand in the way of charity and decrease love of my brethren.  Have mercy, O Lord, upon all those for whom I, an unworthy sinner, have been enjoined to pray.  Have mercy, O Lord, upon everyone who imploreth Thine aid.  O Lord, make this day a day of Thy loving-kindness.  Grant unto each according to his request.  Be Thou a shepherd for the lost; a guide and light for the ignorant; an instructor of the unwise; a father of orphans; a helper for the oppressed; a physician for me sick, and a comforter of the dying.  Lead us all to the desired end—unto Thee, our haven and blessed rest.  Amen.
